Q: What cars look like a 1970 Dodge Challenger?
'70 seems to cost too much.
Any other makes/models.

A: 1965 gto or a new challenger
Q: How do I persuade my parents to buy me a white 1970 Dodge Challenger?
A: that may be hard to do,especially considering the cost of this vehicle and the value of it,that's one of the most wanted challengers on the market right now so your going to have to be real convincing on this one,i cant even afford one of those right now,all i can tell you is give them the resons why they should buy you this one and cross your fingers and hope they believe you, good luck with it.
Q: I have a blue 1970 dodge challenger r/t with a white vinyl top. I was wondering how many of these were made?
The car also has power disc brakes blow rim steering wheel,am/fm multi plex radio rear defrost and power windows, all factory options. Is this a white hat special and can i find out how many cars like mine were made? Thanks for any leads and or info.
A: Galen Govier is the most knowledgeable as far as I know. The "rim blow" horn was a fairly rare option as was the AM/FM multiplex radio, power windows and rear defroster were more common as was power brakes, disc brakes were found fairly often as well but still not found all that often, not like power steering which about all Challengers had. All in all it has a nice list of options which makes the entire package very nice, however the key question is engine, transmission, rear end package. Are we talking hemi power, four speed with a Dana rear which would make it pretty rare especially if it has an "N96 cold air option" (Shaker hood) or are we talking 383 Magnum, 727 auto with a 3.23 open rear? The drive train package is what makes this particular model "rare" or "very rare".
1/8/08 - I saw "Silver Bullets" answer and it is extremely misleading as is a lot of information in "Wikipedia". I'm not sure of the number of Challenger R/T's built but it is way more than 2,172 or whatever he quoted. 1970 was the first year for the Challenger and production ended with the 1974 model year. R/T's were available only in 1970 and 1971, I have the production figures somewhere but I can't lay my hands on them due to remodeling at my home, they are packed in a box somewhere in the rec room.
Q: How rare is a alpine white 1970 Dodge Challenger and would I be able to purchase one?

Q: Question on 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T with power windows rear defrost and power disc brakes. How rare is it??
I have the car for sale on ebay item #280161415338. My build sheet list these items but I can't find one like it and have never heard of these options on an R/T. any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
A: I can tell you how many they made with each option. These figures are statistical approximations based on US figures, so it doesn't include Canadian or Export vehicles. Likewise, it is statistically impossible to to combine figures, so you cannot combine the 3 to find out how many were made with that combo. Any time you see someone doing that with Mopars, they're either ignorant about the numbers or they're trying to pull a fast one on you.

Q: i need to know the original body paint color of my 1970 dodge challenger with vin number JS29N0B244810?
the data plate on my 1970 dodge challenger witrh vin number JS29N0B244810 was lost and i need to know the original body paint color and interior colors.
A: Th 17 digit VIN didn't come into play until the late 70's or early 80's, but I'm leaning toward late 70's.
The VIN does not reveal the colors on the car.
You might be able to check the door jam and see a paint code somewhere there.
But your best bet is to take the car to a body shop and let one of them see if they can help you.
Q: Where can i find info on the 1970 Dodge Challenger?
A: What do you want to know? Have owned five 1970 Challengers since 1970, 318 A/T (2), 383 Magnum R/T, 4-speed, 440 Magnum R/T, 4-speed and 440 Six Pak A/T. Also own '71 that is undergoing change to 383 A/T from 383 4-speed due to left knee problems. Still own 440 Six Pak, gave 383 and 440 4-speeds to my daughters but they (daughters and cars) still reside with me, they even let me drive them sometimes!
Q: i need help with a 1970 dodge challenger?
what internet sight can help me find a 1970 dodge challenger
A: Yeah well the poster above listed the two worst sites to go to when buying a vintage car. Though ebay really isn't that bad. But the serious buyers/sellers either use hemmings.com or collectorcartrader.com. Craigslist is a horrible place to buy an old car, unless you are looking for a rust bucket. Hope this helps.
Q: What's a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack in restored condition worth?

A: try craigslist.org.
It's WAY better than E-Bay.
Q: how to fix up a 1970 dodge challenger r/t?
hi i have two questions first question is how can i tune up my 70 challenger r/t to be mean enough to perform in races...and my second question is should i sell my challenger for the 2009 challenger?
A: Are you kidding me?!?! You would adulterate a 70's Challenger just to have it trashed on the track?!?! Look if the car is not in that great of shape (Lots of rust and I mean a lot of rust) pull the motor, have it bored .60 over, put a 12.1 piston kit in it, Deck the heads and install the roller rocker and lifter kit, put in a purple shaft. Port and polish the heads, toss in a dual tunnel ram intake with 2, 800 Hollies, turn the crank out and if possible locate a steel crank to plop in it. (The steel cranks will offer higher RPM's and are lighter then the cast-iron cranks) Balance and blue print the whole show. To back it up with a 727 performance shift kit and use the RV clutch packs. They are heavy duty and will haul that old lady down the track with out a single hiccup. Once you have squared off that toss in the 8 3/4 rear sure grip. Add a pinion snubber with an aluminum drive shaft and you have a serious road rocket. With this set up there is no reason why you shouldn't turn a cool 11.5 in the quarter. Again this is only if the body of the car is junk. If she still looks sweet. I would not touch it and I would keep her as a daily driver. Maybe spend the money to have the motor and transmission rebuilt. And clean up the exterior and interior a bit. You do that and with a few shows you'll have people making you insane offers.

A: the prices are down a little bit right now on those, its still should bring around 30-35 thousand real easy though, only a few months ago though the same car was bringing around 45-60 thousand, give it a few more months if gas keeps going down and the price will go back up,i went to a car sale back in February and seen one bring 68 thousand, give it some time the price will come back up ,but its has to be extremely nice to bring that much buyers are real particular when their paying that much for a car, they know what to look for on those, they know the trouble spots that's the challengers had on them, and they also know where they rusted out at,and if isn't fixed back perfect it drops the value in half on them, good luck.
Q: 1970 dodge challenger?
ok, you are not going to believe this. My Grandpa died, and he had a lot of money. anyway, he had a couple of cars kept in this warehouse. in it was a matching numbers 1970 dodge challenger with 2000 miles on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's an R/T with a 440 engine, hardtop leather seats, etc..... my grandma said he bought it NEW in late 1970, and never drove it!!!!!!!!!! so my question is, how much is it worth?
*20,000 miles, sorry.
I have not seen the car, it is in texas and i am in New York. My dad said it was in mint condition. he said it was leather, but it could have been something else. I can't get the numbers because since then, my father and i have stopped talking, don't ask.
A: i owned several of the challengers and those didn't come from the factory with leather seats that was added to it later on if it has them in it,they came as sports cars but leather wasn't offered on any of them that i know of,and i bought one brand new, that car would be worth a small fortune though if its all original, probably around 70 thousand right now like it sets, but i would search deeper on the interior part, when i ordered mine leather wasn't offered to me and that was in mid 1970,and i ordered the r/t package also, and i got every available option there was to get put on a car for the year of it,good luck.
