Q: should i buy the 2010 Chevy camaro or the 2010 dodge challenger?
I have around $22,000 i want it to be my first car but i dont know which one to pick
hold up i dont have $22,000 on me but thats the max i could go up to and im going to lease it
A: You should get the Challenger. Thats what I would do.
Q: Dodge Challenger, Chevy Camaro, 2010 Ford Mustang.?
so with the muscle car wars once again in full swing, who do you think will come out on top as the best performance vehicle for the best price.
Dodge Challenger SRT8 - 425 hp very heavy car however
Camaro SS- 400 horsepower also very heavy
2010 Ford Mustang - (speculated) 400 hp 5.0 302 boss engine, much lighter than the other 2.
also, if you could have only one of the 3 which would it be?
also, since im mentioning the highest performance models for each, i may as well also include the Z28 that will be announced in the future, and the Shelby GT500.
A: Camaro-It was originall planned to have a 400HP, but they boosted the power to 425HP like the Challenger.
It is lighter than the Challenger and about the same weight as the mustang.
The Camaro was always the more aerodynamic car with a higher top speed.
I know the 0-60 time for the Challenger SRT-8 is 5.1 seconds and for the camaro is 4.9 seconds.
I don't know how fast the Mustang will be, but the current Mustang GT does it in 5.3 seconds, so I would guess it would be around 5.0 seconds flat.
The Ford Mustang GT500 Shelby does 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds, and that is with 500HP.
Q: 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 vs. 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Which car is better in your opinion, performance, styling, or both. Thanks. PLEASE disregard price, just look at the cars.
A: The Challenger is the better vehicle.
Q: 2010 Chevy Camaro vs 2009 dodge Challenger RS?
which car is better in the quarter mile...0-60....looks.. and more please i have looked and i want other people's opinions also
thanks
A: No doubt. Chevy Camero. The Dodge Challenger has the looks but not the power as the 2010 Chevy Camero. No doubt, the Challenger is nice to look at ---being that it is a re-make of the 70's body style--but, it is still a Chrysler product. That right there, says it all.
Any GMC product will out-run and out-last a Chrysler product. 50 year proven fact.
Q: What are your favorite sports cars for under 30 thousand??
i like the altima coupe, hyundai tiburon, dodge challenger, 2010 chevy camaro...what are your favorite cars for under 30 g's?? NO USED AND NO SUVS!!!
A: Any Mazda speed model, 350Z and upcoming Hyundai Genesis Coupe top my list. Sporty coupes like the Accord and Altima are also very nice.
Q: 2010 camaro or 2009 challenger?
me and my dad went to the bank to check on my credit and stuff, and in order to get a loan, we have to have a 2003+ year car to be able to do so. and if yall saw my last post, they were 200 and 2001 i think. i dunno. but yeah...
so i figured camaros would be good. we went to the local chevy place, and all they had were trucks. but as we were passing by a dodge/chrystler place. we saw it...the 2009 challenger...and omg! lyke OMFG!!! TOTALLY RAD!!! no, but really, its a NICE car. only 23,000 base price. without the hemi and souped up stuff. just the standard 350 or whatever. and as much as i want power, with gas as much as it is, insurance, and price of the car, i dont care much anymore right now. maybe later when i get a job paying a lot. bu for now, yeah....
but that also made me think of the 2010 camaros. arent they supposed to be in the same price range?? about low 20,000? i was thinking id like that more, and itd be better because, its a relative of the corvette, and since i have to wait a year about till they come out, ill have way more of a down payment.
right now, im looking at 3,000 down because my cars a pos and barely worth anything, but my dad said he could possibly pay maybe 2,000 to help. if we got the dodge soon. but if i waited for the camaro, and id have a bigger down payment, the monthly payment will be a lot less. making it easier....
so i need opinions please!!!!
A: 1. Do not buy the slow version of a fast car. You wont be able to enjoy the car it's really meant to be enjoyed and people who know cars are going to view you as a poser. It's just like a guy driving a V6 Mustang.
2. I would wait for the Camaro since it's V6 will be more powerful than the V6 Challenger(300HP). I would only buy the SS though(420 HP). However, when they first come out they are going to be priced above MSRP since it's a highly anticipated car.
3. The Camaro has nothing in common with the Corvette besides the engine. It does have a lot in common with the Pontiac G8 though(same chassis and similar engines).
4. If you need a car NOW I would go with a used Pontiac GTO. They have the old Corvette engine(the LS2) which produces 400HP. They will outhandle the Challenger and are probably faster. They also have nicer interiors. You can find an 06 or so for $20K with low miles.
Q: what automobile is better?
i just turned 15 and got a part time job. i plan on saving for a car. i plan on saving 10 thousand and my dad will give me another 10 thousand when i turn 16. all together i will have 20 thousand. i want a new car for around 25 thousand. i like the 2008 Dodge Challenger for 23 thousand. i also like the new 2010 Chevrolette Camaro thats coming out in the spring of 2009 which is also in the low 20 thousand. which car should i get. dont say get a cheaper car bc i have made up my mind and these are the two that im sticking with.
A: Hey good luck, obviously money no object for you. But I would think about how much the insurance is going to be. I got a feeling gonna think twice by the time you by a car.
Q: What Do You Think The New Impalas Should Look Like???
I think they should make it look retro with a twist... its bigger. They should make it like the 72 Impala and 73 Glasshouse Impala. They should also come with three versions of it: The coupe, the 4 dr sedan, and the drop top baby. They should bring the drop tops back for the Impalas, yes they should. They should all look like the early 70's models but made out of fiberglass of course. They should be made bigger too but not as big as the Chrysler 300C or anything but bigger than the old ones. The 300C is like the new age New Yorker. Thats probably why they discontinued making them.
Just like the Dodge Challenger; every American car company should "bring it back". They should start 2010 w/ hybrid models and remake them in 2016. If they want to keep the donks, then; keep on making them. Chevy to the world blow baby!!!
A: Its a shame the newer impalas look so ugly. The older ones had class and style.Only chevy can make such a stupid move with one of there best selling cars.
Q: I need some bad help!!!?
"Is it true that the 2008 Dodge Challenger will only get 13 mpg and 18 mpg for city and highway, tell me that is the real truth, if it is true I understand?", I need to know because the Chevy Camaro won't come out until January or Feburary 2009, as a 2010 model.
A: Well that's about right. The SRT-8 Charger gets 14/20.
Q: People that know car prices!?
Would it be possible to get a 2009 dodge challenger SRT/8 for around 25 grand?
In my mind the ways it would come down that far is the msrp price is 38.000 ( i heard there will be a huge mark up, is this true?)
ways the price would come down maybe
1)ill be getting my car in 2010 which will the markup go away?
2)when you drive a car off the lot it usually loses about 5 grand of its value
3)gas prices will make people wanna sell it more and not so many buyers, reducing the price
4)2 years of being used should bring down the price aggain
5)i heard if you talk to the fleet manager (person that orders the cars) you will be able to bargain alot, is this ture also?
so im looking if that stuff is true and if i might be able to get one at around 25G?
thanks in advance
p.s
theirs no such thing as a 2009 challenger..
sorry 2005*
A: All of the ones being produced in 2009 are spoken for. Dodge took over 4,000 deposits on the car the day they released the option to do so.
With that in mind, do you honestly think a dealer is going to accept $25,000 for one? Even in 2010, it'll still be a hot item.
Not a chance.
**EDIT** -- Torrent, are you thinking of the Charger? OP is asking about the new Challenger coming out.
Q: Which one of these cars do you like the best?
One is a pic of a possible 2010 Mustang

Three options to be available.
And a site for the Challenger;

There will be three different options for 2009.
