Q: How do you change the fog lights on a 2006 dodge charger?
I have a 2006 dodge charger and don't wanna take it to the dealer just to change out a bulb in the fog lights
A: The best way to do it is to take out a few of the push pins out of the bottom closeout panel and try to get to it from the bottom side. You should be able to get your hand in there by pulling down on the plastic after you have taken out the pins. The bulb should be turned counterclockwise and pulled straight out.
To remove the lens the dodge service info tells you to remove the upper closeout panel, headlight, and most of the front bumper fascia.
Because the lamp attaches from the back side.
Q: Is it worth changing my exhaust on a 2006 dodge charger rt?
I own a 2006 dodge charger rt with the road and track performance group package. As most of you know the road and track package has slightly different exhaust/intake which gives it a extra 10hps. I'm was thinking about changing the exhaust on it, but i don't know if it's really worth doing considering it already has a upgrade exhaust (which is quiet but is ok with me).
A: i wouldn't change it ,because you already have the performance package with that car,and it was designed to run well with that system,they do really well with the stock system,you could take the money you was going to spend on that and do something else to it,id rather have it running quiet and performing well as have it loud and not doing as good as it was designed to do,stock is good on that one,good luck,and merry x-mas.
Q: how do you unlatch the backseat to a 2006 dodge charger?

A: My first question for you is which model is it? If your car is an SE the rear seats do not pull forward. The SXT and RT has nylon loops on the side of the seat about 4 inches down from the top. Pull it straight out on the loop and the seat with pull forward, allowing you into the trunk.

Q: How do i remove the body side molding off a 2006 dodge charger without damaging the paint/body?
I want to give my charger a cleaner look by removing the body side molding, but i don't no if it's a job i can do myself or if i have to take it to a bodyshop. If anybody has done this before, please give me some advice.
A: 1. you need to check w/ the parts department at a Dodge dealer. see this trim piece first hand new. Is it plastic bolted on or just 2 side taped.
2. if it has plastic bolts.. you are out of luck. cause that means under the trim is holes in the door skins. to remove the moldings will leave holes.
3. if just 2 sided taped, can be removed a few ways
a. using a heat gun, warm the trim up and slide a plastic putty knife under the edge and start pulling. Take your time. Each side should take at least 10 minutes this way.
b. using some dental floss or fishing line, slide this behind the trim and move the line back and forth and use it like a saw and cut the 2 sided tape in half. this works but leaves such a mess of tape residue that you sit for the next few hours picking it all off.
c. whichever way you go... once its off. lacquer thinner will remove the glue/tape reside. otherwise it will need waxed up where the tape was.

This is over 500 HP at the flywheel. The down side of these systems is that it usually takes around 3-6 weeks for GS to build these systems.

I'm thinking about changing my wheels on my charger to either a new set of 18's or some 20's but i want to buy some wheels that weight less or the same as my stock 18'' wheels.
A: if there steel rims then they weigh about 15 lbs with tire, aluminum will weigh about 10 each with tire. If you want the same weight or less your going to have to stay with an aluminum rim which you can get in chrome or brushed/polished, and 20's would be out cus they weigh around 25 lbs each with low profile tires.

Most Navigation Units work without having to connect the speedwire (pink wire) to the head unit, but Jvc says it has to be done. Where is the location of this particular wire on the Dodge Charger and how hard is it to get to? or where can i get the info to do this own my own rather than go to the dealer or some costly audio shop?
A: i work for dodge i have never heard of this pink speed wire your not going to get out of going to the dealer on this the radios have what is called a can bus if you mess with it it may turn on your check engine light and you cant the get the info on it yet they stopped making books and on the net you have to be a dealer to look at it and the navigation system we install have to be programmed with a star scan my best solution to you is get your money back and buy a dodge factory navigation radio
Q: Does anyone know where the inertia switch is located on an 2006 Dodge Charger?
My car is not starting because my bonehead friend ran out of gas and now that the tank is full, the car is still not starting. A passerby told me I just need to press the fuel reset button (inertia switch) but I don't know where it is located and it doesn't state anything about the switch in the manuel. Someone please help!
A: Chrysler and dodge doesn't run an inertia switch on their vehicles that was a ford and a Mazda thing,the charger doesn't have one on it,so its possible you may have a bad pump or have blown a fuse for the pump on it,good luck.
Q: Whats the best oil filter for a 2006 dodge charger rt?
I was leaning towards getting the k&n oil filter or the factory mopar filter. If anybody knows any other filters that are good or better then the two i named, get at me.
A: if it were me on that one id use the original one or the k&n,i always use fram on most things but the original mopar filters are good and so are the k&n ones,i use fram on my stuff but most people prefer the originals on that new of a model car,as long as its a good filter it doesnt matter,its up to you,good luck,and have a merry x-mas.
