A: there's not really a lot available for ht 2.7 in the,line of performance parts,Chrysler just don't look at the 2.7 as being anything that can be made in to a power house,the most you can do is add better exhaust and maybe improve on the air intake system,you can spend a thousand bucks on that one and still not be satisfied with horse power,good luck.

I'm looking to get a 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8. I live in Georgia and according to the dodge website there isn't one on a lot within 300 miles. I called a couple of dealerships and they said they could get me one in a couple of days. Does this sound right? If I put down a deposit, how long until they would actually have it. Also, are they going for MSRP or more?

A: Yeah that is about right. A dealer usually has agreements with other dealers and they pull one off another dealer's lot or just order one, but a few days sounds normal. The most you should have to wait is two weeks. As for price, depends on the dealer. They may mark it up a bit from MSRP. Could be a few thousand more than MSRP, but then again you could find a good dealer that won't. It's a toss up either way. You can negotiate on the price even before you order it.

A: 89 for the SXT is recommended, but if you run 87, the car's computer will notice the difference and adjust for it, so it'll be fine. Don't bother will going to 91. The biggest myth in car ownership - that running a higher octane fuel increases performance. It doesn't. Octane refers to the resistence to detonation, not how much more powerful it makes your engine.

A: the Charger is a good car...the SE is the base model...2.7 V6....reliable, decent gas mileage and not a race car. the Altima people mentioned is a fairly quick car...the last thing i want my teenager to have is a sporty fast car. the Charger is big, safe and an all around decent choice. A: right now the price is the one main difference in them,and that's about it,the 208 is e-designed a little bit ,and is supposed to be a lot better,i haven't drove one yet do this i cant verify,and either transmission is as good,good luck.

Q: Could you put a 2008 Bentley GT V12 engine in a 2008 Dodge Charger that already has a HEMI?
Basically is it possible to swap the engines?

A: Physically, it might fit. I'm not sure where on the Bentley W12 the engine mounts are located though. In the Bentley, which is really a VW Phaeton under the skin, the entire engine is cantilevered off the front of the transmission, which in turn is located between the front wheels, where the engine is in a good car like the Dodge Charger. The Bentley engine is made out of two narrow angle VW VR6s. Even one VR6 is bother enough. Two of them is just begging for oil and coolant circulation problems. You'd be better off taking the Hemi to a good tuner to up the output beyond what would cause the W12 to melt into a smelly lump. Or maybe you could look into installing a new Viper V10 and 6-speed.

The mirror was knocked off but does not appear damaged. Still held in place by wiring. Looking to find out a cost estimate in either case (new mirror or not).

A: yes it is cheaper to insure two cars rather than one,my cousin just bought a new charger with the hemi in it,and her insurance is well over 200 a month right now,the told her it would come down as she got older ,she doesn't have any tickets or anything else,but to me that's way too much to pay for insurance,but that's full coverage also,she is also 25 years old,good luck.

Q: How is the 2008 Dodge Charger?
How much space is in the drivers seat for a Dodge Charger. Id also like to know how the car handles, it looks like a great car, but it also looks too long and bulky. Can some owners explain to me how it drives?

A: I own an 06 charger and love it. I'm 6'2" and cannot put the seat all the way back. The car handles great. The suspension in these cars make them feel alot lighter. I live in Wisconsin and drive it during the winter and have no problems. I prefer bigger cars and rear wheal drive. If you are not used to driving a larger car it can be a change but once you drive one you'll love it.

I have loved this car since the first time I saw it! I need inpu, feedback, the good, the bad and the ugly!

A: Depends on what you call good and bad. I didn't find a lot I liked honestly. I test drove the 425hp Daytona model, so if you're just looking at an R/T or a V6 model, I might not be able to help. I gotta say, it's a fairly comfortable car, and the interior space is impressive with 4 doors and all. I couldn't get over the automatic though...this is supposed to be a drivers car, and they ruin it with a slow shifting laggy automatic. It also isn't very fast for a 425hp car...mostly due to the weight and the automatic I'm guessing. Don't expect to take on Corvettes... The looks are pretty sharp in my book, but I like the looks of the R/T better actually. The Daytona model has a really goofy bright green or yellow paint job with black stripes and decals that just scream "midlife crisis". I guess I just get mixed feelings about this car. It's not slow, but it's not incredibly fast, and you'll have to pay a gas guzzler tax on it since it only gets 24mpg on the highway. I just don't think it's worth the money, but in the end it's up to you. If you drive it and love it...then it's your car no matter what anyone says. Good luck!
