Q: Dodge Nitro?
I have been soooo unhappy with my Dodge Nitro. I purchased my car last year in November and all I been having is problems with it. Constantly in the shop, is there a way to report this issue and get another car? How does the lemon law protect ppl like me with these types of issues. Last thing i need is to cause an accident because of this vehicle.
A: lemon laws are a little different in all states, but the basics are- the dealer has your vehicle 30 business days in the first 12 months of ownership. 3 unsuccesful repair attempts at the EXACT same problem, that resulted in you returning with an unfixed problem after thinking it was fixed. i have not seen any problems with nitro's yet. what problems are you having?
Q: Can someone please tell me how to work my rear seat dvd system in my dodge nitro R/T?
I bought a dodge nitro R/T recently and neither me nor the servive dept. can figure out how to work it. i dont see a slot by the rear tv to slip a disk into and the only spot i do see is in the dash where the regular cd's go. someone please help before i go insane.
A: I suggest you read the manual for it, or go back to the dealer and tell them they need to figure it out. Or you will call the Chrysler complaint hotline. Dealers don't really want that especially of they are a 5 star dealer.
Q: How do you use the stock DVD player in the 2007 Dodge Nitro?
I recently bought a 2007 Dodge Nitro and the Factory CD player has a factory DVD player all in one. I was wondering where do you put the screens? Where do you buy them at? and How do you install them?
A: Might be something that is available as an accessory package through Dodge.
You can call your dealer parts department and ask them if there's a package available. If there is, they can price it and then service can give a labor price.
You could also call a local audio/video shop that does installs (besides a Best Buy, go to an A-V specialty shop) and ask them if they have a package to add the screens.
The A-V shop will likely be the least expensive of the two.

Q: what type of gas does the dodge nitro take?
i have an 03 Aviator (V8) & im thinking about trading it in for the 07 or 08 dodge nitro.... will i save on gas with this trade? if so, how much?
A: Use only 87. Most people put higher grade gas and think that is better. The engine is designed to work on 87 and you will get better fuel economy but about 7-10mpg depending how you drive

A: try calling some of the parts stores and see whats the highest out put one they have,those came with a pretty good alternator already on them,but they can tell you whats available for it,they will have the specs on what they have available for it,good luck.
Q: Is a Dodge Nitro a good car to buy? How long will it last?
I am 18 and I want a good 4 wheeling car, and a nice looking car. i am saving up to get a nice dodge nitro but if they dont last long im not sure if its worth it. If you know anything about them or dodges in general id appreciate some input. Thanks
A: If you want a SUV for snow and rain and being on the road 99% of the time than the Nitro fits the bill, but it sounds like you want to do some off roading. I would get a Jeep Wrangler, and now that you can get the 4 door unlimited, then space is no longer an issue.

How can i get my Dodge Nitro's steering wheel on the right hand side of the car? i got a 2007 automatic Dodge Nitro.

A: If you live in a country with RHD, they will have places for RHD conversions right in the phone book.
But why would you want to? Just get a Land Rover, it's much better looking than that Nitro abortion. Not to mention it can actually fourwheel. Unless you're a drug dealer. Then I understand you need all the bling you can get.

A: I don't have one, but have driven one, a R/T to be exact. I liked it. Was a nice SUV. I think they are worth the money.

Q: Has anyone had issues with their 2008 dodge nitro having a water leak?
My nitro has had standing water in the passenger floor boards front and back. It has been raining non stop and the nitro has been parked. I when I do go out I have the windows open and dont run the air conditioner.

A: It sounds like a body leak and should be under warranty. it can be easily found with a smoke detection system.

Is it me or does someone else find it really awesome? I am planning to buy a Dodge Nitro and the dealer is giving me a cracking deal so just want a second opinion.
How is the car? I test drove it and just loved it but car reviews online haven't been very helpful saying this is a bad car.

A: My father in law has one. Aside from the looks issue (I find them ugly), it rides and handles OK at best, is lousy on gas (and he only has the RWD version), and the interior is amazingly cheap, with hard plastic surfaces everywhere. On top of that, Chrysler products have a very poor record for quality and reliability, although that is offset by the lifetime powertrain warranty.
If the dealer is giving you a great deal, it's only because that vehicle hasn't sold well even before the gas price hike which has hurt the entire SUV market, so you might be able to get an even better deal than what you already are being offered. It's a buyers market in general, and even more so at the end of a model year when looking at a slow selling SUV.

Q: How do I connect my Ipod to my new Dodge Nitro?
There's a USB connecor but that downloads the music onto my radio's hard-drive. There's also an audio input. I just want to listen to the music on my Ipod through my cars speakers. Is there a special cable I can use to connect the Ipod to that audio input jack?

one dealership advertised 26mpg but i know that's a lie they use to get people to buy them.
A: it gets about 18-22mpg. i have one and drive a lot. this is with sppeds of 70-85mph. cost about $70-$75 to fill up.
Q: How do I change the oil in my Dodge Nitro?
This seems to be a really difficult vehicle to change the oil for. I don't even know where to begin.
A: That vehicle just recently hit the market. Chrysler has not yet released information to non-dealers on how to repair or service these yet.
If you are unsure of how to change the oil, then don't try to. Would be a real shame if you botched the job on your new 2007 Nitro. Get it done at a dealers until us non-dealers have a chance to look up the details.
