Q: I purchased a 2008 Dodge Nitro SXT, and see "9ATE" displayed on my odometer. Do you know what this is?
A: it says "gate". means the rear hatch is either not shut fully or there is a prob with the switch in the latch.

A: The dodge nitro is better. Hondas are way overrated. Chrysler LLC makes great cars and trucks. If they didn't they would not offer a lifetime warranty. They are not in the business of losing money on warranty claims. They want to make money meaning they will build a good product that they will not have to worry about paying for warranty work.

A: According to all the ads I have seen it says all of their 2008 models will be covered by the lifetime power train warranty.

A: Sometime in November. They arent getting much of a change... just minor tweaks! USUALLY, all new cars from any company will be out for the next year will come out in Oct./ Nov.

A: They are both built on the same platform and have the same drivetrain. But you can get the nitro R/T with the 4.0L V-6

what kind of mp3 player can you connect to it, i bought my black SLT 4x4 nitro last friday and no one knows what kind of mp3 player you can or cant connect to it, and I'd like to know before i go out and possibly buy the wrong kind... after just spending 29,995 on it I'd LOVE to know so i don't spend even another 200$'s on a wrong mp3 player..and yes..200$'s IS a big deal, granted it gets almost 400miles per fill in its 19.5 gallon tank, that could fill the tank 3x's, that and after the mp3 player, this is all I'm buying my self for the next 2 years...input is GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance.
A: you need a special plug to replace the radio in that vehicle and the rest of the electronics to work with the new radio

I am buying a 2008 Dodge Nitro by the end of the week, possibly the RT. Can you tell me how much you spend on gas weekly?
A: The Dodge Nitro R/T is a very nice SUV, but the MPG for the car can cost quite a lot of money at the pump for a mid-sized, entry-level SUV with a V6.
SLT 4x2 MPG: 16 city / 22 hwy / 18.5 Avg.
SLT 4x4 MPG: 15 city / 21 hwy / 17.5 Avg.
R/T 4x2 MPG: 16 city / 21 hwy / 18 Avg.
R/T 4x4 MPG: 15 city / 20 hwy / 17 Avg.
With Gas Prices around the range of $3.00 to $4.00, expect to pay around $90 - $100 per week if you drive 20 miles to get there and back from your destination every day. If you go on a day-long road trip every 2-4 months like most people do, likely even higher.
If you drive only for convenience, such as get fuel, food, school, go to the local hangout, your workplace, and occasional visit to your friend's house like I do, I pay around $51 - $53 to fill up in Sacramento, CA. Other cities have different gas prices, so you should spend around $50 - $62 per week (depending on price per gallon) for fuel, enough to fill the Nitro's gas tank of regular unleaded fuel.
In a way, the Dodge Nitro SLT is a better choice if you are going for a Dodge Nitro. It is a little more efficient than the R/T, yet still nice looking. Even with a small change of MPG, you can save a few dollars on fuel, either way (R/T or SLT), look for performance products that can improve fuel efficiency that would work with the Dodge Nitro.

A: Most places won't quote without seeing the job. It depends on if there is stock tint, if there has been tint before, how dark you want it, and most importantly, where you are.
Most SUV tint jobs, for everything except the driver window would run $150-$200, once again, depending on where you are, and the quality of work you are expecting.
Always go to a reputable place, even if they charge more than the 'other guys'. All tint jobs may look good, but consider that cheaper jobs will not last as long!

A: don't you have any Professional tinting ppl around your area?? i would not recommend you look it up on the internet cause they have no good way to give you a quote...find your local professional.

Ok i really want an AUDI Q7, but we just bought a house and two cars so im going to have to settle for something a little less expensive for now. I hate SUV's but my GLi is too small. Im looking into getting either a 2008 Dodge Nitro or a 2008 GMC Arcadia but i dont know what either companies resell values are on their cars. Ive only owed imported and german cars so this american car thing to me is new. Please help!! The only thing that ive found good is that the Nitro has a lifetime warranty (dealer special) and the Arcadia has a 5 yr 100k mile warranty and that was important to me.
By the way my husband IS in Iraq and not because of me and I am not a rich little daddy's girl because he is DEAD! We work our ass off for what we have we just need a bigger car for the kids!! Thank You everyone else on your info!

A: The Acadia is a great choice. I have one and could not be happier. I love your comments to those who make assumptions based on a two sentence posting! The Acadia is a newer model, so there will not be alot of information on resale as of yet. The Nitro is a good vehicle, but if you are concerned about resale, the amount of the discount is also going to be a factor in the resale value. For all the people who have no idea what they are talking about, I am averaging 25 mpg plus, which is very good for a people hauler. You would be very impressed with the Acadia.

A: Don't listen to the other dummy, its not based on the neon. It is based on the same platform as the Jeep Liberty. I test drove a Nitro R/T with the 4.0L V-6 and I was impressed with it. Personally I would never ask for an opinion on yahoo answers, I would go and drive the vehicle myself and choose for myself.
