A: I'm trying to figure out what you mean. Do you mean to lower the entire truck, making it ride closer to the ground? As in, like, a low rider?

Q: Does anyone know about the 2002 Dodge ram engines?
We have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 and we are going through oil continuously. There is no leaks and no smoking either. Now what do we do. The oil pressure gauge says the oil is okay but, the dipstick was bone dry. We added oil as well as slick 50 and one week later the oil dipstick is dry again. Now I don't know what to do or where to start looking. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
A: At the dealer this is what I would do. First I would change the oil and put in the proper amount and confirm proper lever. Then drive the vehicle and monitor the amount of oil it uses. During I would have checked under the vehicle for signs of leaks. I would also be looking to see if light blue smoke was exiting the vehicle at start up and under loads. I do recall that the pvc system can stick and suck oil right from the top of the head into the intake system. The 5.2,5.9 and 3.9l motors also had a gasket at the base of the intake that cracked and sucked oil also....good luck

Getting a Dodge Ram and I want a manual. but they are so few and far between. I like the idea behind the semi-auto's and was wondering how hard it would be to do this and how expensive.

A: It can't bedone to your truck. That transmission does not have the electronics that a tip tronic transmission has.

Im not too worried about speed, but i would like it to look nice and maybe a nice stereo.
A: Wet sand your paint, if your body isn't too dented. This will make it have a show car finish. Put a roll pan on the back in replace of your bumper. Sir Michaels or StreetScene have the most popular kinds. Put a tonneau cover on the bed or a tool box on the bed (depending on the look your going for). Lower your truck or lift it. Bigger rims/tires. Tint your windows. Hood scoops. Get some JL audio subs or just one. I have Polk Audio Momo speakers in my Ram and they sound great. It sounds like you are right there with the music. I also have a head unit from Pioneer. The AVIC-N3. I like it a lot. Ipod ready with navigation. My old truck had a handling kit from Hotchkis Performance and it handled great. It also lowered my truck a few inches and made it look mean. These are just a few things you can do to make a your truck look great.

A: Well if I were able to be the one who gets to work on your rig i would have to say that smell, that sweet smell? yeah smells like money to me. heater core replacement ain't cheap and no heat sucks and is impossible in some parts of the country

The truck runs but the instrument cluster,horn,interior lights,directionals and factory alarm does not. Does anybody have any experience with this problem,if so please tell me what the problem could be.I have already replaced the ignition switch.
A: get a manual and remove your instrument cluster. check the powers and grounds in the 3 cluster connectors. you will most likely find that all is ok. there are 4 battery feeds and 4 grounds. make sure you check for voltage with the key on. the 4 ground wires go back to 2 ground spots. 1 also runs the shift interlock and the amplifier, the other ground runs the clockspring in the sterring column, the ignition switch, the sentry key module, and the headlamp switch. if you lost either of these grounds the truck would not start. sounds like a cluster-the cluster is the bcm in these trucks. it controls everything that you have not working. there may be a fusible link wire at your alternator, but if it was burnt it would not charge, and there are not any other peices of fusible link wire anywhere on the vehicle whatsoever. all the fuses are in teh box under the hood. also if you replace your cluster, the rke module snaps onto the back of it, don't forget to put it on your new cluster.

I just got the truck from carmax and forgot to ask the sales manager how to use it. I tried hitting set, on cruise last night and it wouldnt come on? Any ideas
A: you turn it on ,then hold in on the set button for at least two seconds,and if you going over 35 miles an hour it will set the speed,if you got the owner manual with that truck read in it about the features it has,you can also gain or loose speed by using the buttons for the cruise control,its a nice feature to have ,good luck with it,

A: if they use real good parts ,labor and all on this one shouldn't run over 250 bucks at any shop,those aren't that hard to do especially since you,ll probably be replacing everything with new parts,you could actually do those your self and save the labor part of it,which will be over half of the bill,good luck.
Q: I have a 2002 dodge ram it will lock in to 4 hi but will not unlock?
My truck is locked in 4hi and won't unlock.We have tryed everything we can think of the light just flashes and goes back to 4hi.Any ideas on what could be wrong?
A: is it an electric transfer case? if so, there is a drc in the transfer case control module not letting it disengage. it could be a bad shift motor or the wiring to it. the wiring can be chaffed on the front driveshaft very easy. if it is a manual transfer case it could be the linkage, position switch, or an internal problem. if you have a 2500 or 3500 truck the 02 still had a vacuum disconnect on the front axle. if so, make sure you have vacuum there on 1 line in 4x4 and on the other line in 2wd. this may have to be professionally diagnosed.

A: you cannot turn it off on a canadian vehicle. you may be able to replace the front control module with an american one if you can get a dealer to order the wrong part for the truck. keep in mind the part would have no warranty with your vin number. it would cost about $400 for the module installed.
