Q: Is a 2007 Dodge Ram Cummins faster than a 2003?
My dad had a 2003 Dodge Ram Cummins and he traded it in for a 2007 and the 2003 had 250hp but the 2007 has 325 and it has the same engine. Why is that?
A: they put more fuel and torque to it, My dad has an 04' I have an 06', both 4wd,4 door, heavy duty 3/4 tons and he can smoke my ass like it aint no thing off the line, my cousin helped design the T-25 auto that are in them and the new 6 speed auto, and she said they changed the settings on them so the higher horse and torque don't eat the trans and converters up. I still have more power than I need without a chip and so does dad

I got a 2007 Dodge Ram and I want to buy a navigation system but i dont know what size the radio is. I want to get a double din that fits right in the dash but i don't know if i could do that.
A: I have a 2006 Dodge Ram (Mega Cab) and the head unit is a double din. I don't think Dodge changed it from 2006 to 2007 so yours most likely will be the same size opening in the dash. Hope this helps, and thumbs up to you on your choice of truck!

Ya, i was thinking of getting flowmaster exhaust system. Any ideas on a good brand of rims. I have my eyes on Giovanna Canelli 24s right now. Just give me any ideas things that maybe you have seen on a truck that you thought was cool. Performance wise nothing fancy.

A: if its all stock wires then look really closely at the wires and it should say what each wire is

Q: I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 w/ "Lamps On" feature. Is there enough light to operate the truck at night?
I just got the truck and the first time I drove it at night I didn't turn the lights on because in my garage the "lamps On" condition turned on the lights as soon as I put it in reverse. I got a ticket. I know it is reduced, but is there still enough light to be legal.
A: Sorry but same answer, it really is not whether you can see, but from the rear, no one can see you as your tail lights are not one. And no, the running lights are not safe enough for night time vision.

A: Expect to lose 2 to 3 mpg and notice a decrease in power.Most people who make their own fuel acquire the oil from restaurants.I would look for places that specialize in fried foods.Donuts, chicken burger joints etc.

I just purchased an 07(first half) ram with the 5.9L cumins from previous years. From personal experiences and what not, what is the best chip or programmer to maximize fuel economy and at the same time boost performance? I have been reading on a few and noticed that Banks offers alot of choices. What do you the public have as far as opinions go in recommending what brand chip I should purchase.
A: Banks is the best there is. If you have ever watched him on TV and seen his shop you know.He is probably not the cheapest but his stuff is the most researched product on the market. And tech service is second to none.If you go for a programmer or anything else( exhaust, bigger inter cooler,air intake, etc) use all his stuff as it is made to work together and will achive the best results. Then if you have a problem they can fix it where as if you buy from several companys they can blame each other for the problems. Call them and ask tech service about there products and what you want and expect. They wont steer you wrong.........Good luck.........................UJN

They are 275/60/20 tires.
A: i was told you can gain up to 3 miles per gallon because they run a more constant and steady air pressure,i don't know if there's any truth to this or not though,for the cost of having this done its cheaper just to keep the tires aired up to their proper amount of air, i was thinking of trying this and seeing if you could actually gain that much from it,its possible,good luck.

A: You are using incorrect terminology. If you refer to the stud, they are 9/16-20 thread, and they are already black.
The nuts are 7/8. You can research the net same as anyone.
Q: I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 4x4 1500, should I be putting the high octane/expensive gas into my truck?
Or can I just use the cheapest, low octane gas?
I know how the high octane works in reducing rod knock and what not, but I heard that newer cars and trucks have sensors that detour that, so you can go ahead and use the cheap gas without worry.
Is this true?

A: Your owners manual will tell you the recommended octane. However a higher octane can't hurt, but is no real advantage. The only advantage you will get from a higher octane is a cleaner burn which is good to do once in a while to help clean out the engine or just use a good fuel system additive.
With all the electronics and computers on todays cars, you have crank sensors and knock sensors that the computers read and make adjustments. The knock sensors are more common in diesels though.

A: I do mine myself.... I use a magnaflow high floe catalytic convertor then a 40 series Flowmaster muffler. IMO it sounds great.... the best sound I have ever heard.

A: I just went back and asked our Service Manager how to remove the panel. he said to take a flat object, preferably non-metal, and slide behind the panel and carefully pry it and it should just pop right off.
