Q: What do you think of the new Dodge Viper, is it worth buying?
Where can i get info on its ratings? I tried checking out consumer reports but 2007 is obviously not out yet.

A: ive driven one, i work at a dodge dealership, and ive driven the new corvettes, my vote personaly is neither. if your gonna bu a supercar i would go german made. the viper is very fast but it can be very difficult to control at lower speeds with rapid acceleration, if you are at a dead stop and floor it it can very easily get away from you. at higher speeds the viper is very easy to handle but you have to remember, this car can burn the tires at 70mph. the viper has a 500ci engine with 500hp at 540lbs torque. the "vette" is the biggest peice of crap i have ever driven. handles terribly at high and low speeds, and just doesnt fit a person well. i wouldnt buy one. but if you really want to know what i wold do: 07 shelby gt 500 mustang. its got a decent price and its well built and just as fast as the viper, and personaly i think it handles better at high and low speeds and i like the looks better. so lets rundown real fast Viper = great supercar, not an easy drive tho, make sure you can handle the car or it will handle you. Vette = id rather walk, you feel like your crammed into a small box on weels, i know guys with minivans that handle better, a downright horribl car. Mustang = this isnt fords first attempt at a monster mustang, nor carol shelbys, this is the one i would look into as far as speed it is as fast as the other 2 and i think it looks better, probably better on price too. that and its a freaking SHELBY GT 500!!! its freaking SWEET!

A: if you want luxury go for the jag but if you want speed and excitement go for the viper i would chose the viper

Q: American sport cars are becoming very fast?
I'm sick of all the talk about the lambos the farrari's and porsches. . The new 2007 supersnake shelby with 725Hp,Chevorlet corvette SS with 650hp and the dodge viper with 600Hp all stock baby. I think these cars will make a difference

A: There's always critics for everything, no matter what it is. You also forgot the Ford GT with 550 hp and can clear 1/4 of a mile in 11 seconds. Even normal every day family cars like the Ford Taurus, which has 263 hp, are getting sportier. The 2008 Lincoln MKS which is coming out this fall is going to have 315 hp which will smoke a lexus or BMW any day. The 2008 Navigator is also getting an upgrade to 420 hp which smokes the Escalade by 17 hp! I'm not sure about the 2009 Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger, but they are supposed to have loads of hp that will smoke any foreign vehicle out there. Also, I think any American sports car can still smoke lambo's and ferraris because American cars have speed, but can also handle a lot better than super fast euro cars.

Just wondering what your veiw was on three "2007 Model" cars. Corvette Z06, Mustang Saleen, Dodge Viper RT, and why your decision you feel Is better then the other car. Thanks..

A: First unlike what you were told before the corvette is not the cheapest. I am unsure of the price of the Mustang but the Corvette is around $90,000 and the Viper runs around $86,000. I personally would pick the Viper it will turn every head that is in view, the Corvette is a more common car with a top speed of around 210 and the Vipers being around 198, anyway they are all great cars and all will get attention, so take some test drives if your serious about buying one of these. A: Viper definitely has that "I'm single and have class" look, but the Stealth is a larger car, more cargo room. It really depends on your budget and what you are looking for in a car.

A: Out of the links that worked I got: a Lego Smart (not a sports car) a Ferrari F50, a Hummer H2 (everything a sports car is not) a Dodge Viper (arguably not a sports car) and a tractor trailer, also not a sports car. So I'd go with the kinda ugly, uncomfortable, gasoline chugging, unreliable but very fast Ferrari.
